For the third year in a row, the Foundation continued its efforts to develop the spirit of scientific research by honoring the winners of the Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Award for Educational Research in the academic, graduate, teacher and leadership categories from Qatar and abroad.
the award came in the belief of the institution in the active role played by researchers to raise the level of scientific research and raise the name of their countries globally, and also to contribute to the promotion of scientific research concepts and to actively participate in realizing the vision of Qatar 2030.
For his part, Dr. Hassan Al-Durham, President of Qatar University, said that the idea of the award was to encourage scientific research as an indicator of the advancement of nations and their prosperity, especially if it focuses on the human industry and to promote research in support of the production of knowledge.
Dr. Sultan Al-Adwan, Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Universities, considered the award as an incentive for Arab researchers to work hard and distinguished pointing out that the Union seeks all its potential and capabilities, especially in recent years, to support scientific research and encourage scientists and researchers in Arab research universities and research centers is the best way to progress both at the individual and group level?
Dr. Ahmed Al Emadi, Dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Qatar, said that the winning Arab researchers provide a distinctive example of the importance of scientific research in a world that recognizes the importance of knowledge competition and knowledge-based economy, stressing that the most important today is the acquiring knowledge and employing for the development of humanity.
The Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Award for Educational Research is an annual award for outstanding academic research by academic researchers, teachers, school principals, professional practitioners, or university students in the Arab Gulf States with the aim of promoting research activity, producing educational knowledge and improving educational practices and policies.
